Your business data

Everything you enter in the dashboard — money entries, customers, tasks, appointments, settings — is stored in your browser's localStorage on your device. By default it is not transmitted to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it, so use the Export JSON button in Settings if you want a backup file.

There is one exception, and you have to switch it on yourself: cloud sync, described next.

Cloud sync (Pro, off by default)

Pro users can turn on "Sync across devices" in Settings. Free users cannot, and for them nothing about this section applies. While sync is on:

• What is stored. A copy of the same JSON document that lives in your browser — your money entries, customers, tasks, appointments and settings — plus the time of the last upload and the device name you chose.
• Where. In our Upstash Redis database, under a key derived from your Pro license key (smbdashboard:sync:<your key>). Upstash hosts it; no one else receives a copy.
• Who can read it. Anyone holding your license key. The key is the only credential — there are no accounts and no passwords — so treat it like one and don't share it.
• How long. Until you delete it, or until 400 days pass with no device uploading, whichever comes first.
• How to delete it. Settings → Sync across devices → "Turn off sync and delete the synced copy". That removes the server-side copy immediately and leaves your browser copy untouched. If you'd rather we did it, email Mark@Reinventing.AI from the address you bought with.

What we do collect

• Anonymous analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and a few product events (like clicks on the buy button). No cookies for tracking, no cross-site profiles, no advertising identifiers.
• License records. If you buy Pro, we store the license key we issued and the Stripe checkout session id used to issue it, so the key can be recovered and validated. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card number.
• Email you send us. If you email Mark@Reinventing.AI, we keep the correspondence to answer you.

What we don't do

We don't sell data and we don't share it with third parties beyond the processors named above (Vercel for hosting and analytics, Stripe for payments, Upstash for license and sync storage). With sync switched off — which is the default, and the only option on the free tier — we never hold your business data at all. With sync switched on, we hold exactly the copy described above and you can delete it from Settings whenever you want.
