What Pro buys
No caps, ever
The free tier caps at 25 customers and 200 money entries — honest limits, clearly counted in the app. Pro removes both. Track every customer and every dollar for as long as you run the business, with no per-month anything.
CSV export everywhere
Money entries export as date/type/amount/category/customer/status rows; customers export with contact info, tags, and last-touched dates. Both open cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, or whatever your accountant uses.
Your business name and logo, and no smbdashboard.com credit
Free reports print with a "Created with smbdashboard.com" credit line at the bottom. Pro removes it and puts your name and logo on the app header and on every printed weekly report instead, so the Monday report you hand a partner or stick on the wall looks like yours, not ours.
Sync across devices (optional)
Switch it on and your dashboard document is stored on our server under your license key, so the shop laptop and the phone can carry the same numbers. It's off until you turn it on, per device, and one button deletes the stored copy. Free stays local-only.
Recurring money entries
Rent, software subscriptions, retainers — duplicate any entry one month forward in one click. The date advances a calendar month, income copies arrive marked unpaid so your open-invoices number stays honest.
Accent color + two extra themes
Pick any accent color, and switch the whole app between Graphite (default), Midnight, and Storm. Small thing, but you look at this screen every day.
Backup reminders
Your data lives in your browser unless you switch sync on. Pro adds a reminder when your last JSON export is more than 30 days old, so a cleared cache never costs you your records.
How it works

- Your license key (SMB-XXXXX-XXXXX) is generated and shown on screen — this browser activates automatically. Save the key.
- On any other device, paste the key at smbdashboard.com/pro/activate. That's the whole cross-device story: buy once, activate anywhere.
FAQ
- Is SMBDashboard Pro a subscription?
- Your choice. The $8/mo plan is billed $48 every 6 months and you can cancel anytime — Pro stays on through the end of the period you paid for. Or pay $149 once for a lifetime license with nothing to cancel because nothing renews.
- Where is my business data stored after I buy Pro?
- Your browser's localStorage, exactly as before. Buying Pro doesn't move it: the only things stored on a server are your license key and the Stripe checkout session id used to issue it. The one exception is cloud sync, which is off until you switch it on in Settings.
- What exactly does cloud sync upload?
- The same JSON document that lives in your browser — money entries, customers, tasks, appointments, settings — plus the time of the last upload and the device name you chose. It's stored in our Upstash Redis under a key derived from your license key. Your license key is the only credential, so treat it like a password. Settings has a button that turns sync off and deletes the stored copy in one step.
- Do I have to use cloud sync?
- No. It ships off and stays off until you turn it on, per device. Everything else in Pro works with sync off, and the free tier is local-only with no sync option at all.
- I got a new device or cleared my browser. How do I get Pro back?
- Use your license key. Go to smbdashboard.com/pro/activate, paste the key (it looks like SMB-XXXXX-XXXXX), and Pro turns on in that browser. Buy once, activate anywhere.
- Does the free version lose anything?
- No. Everything free today stays free: all six modules, the command palette, .ics downloads, printing the weekly report, JSON export and import, and unlimited tasks. Pro only adds.
- What if I lose my license key?
- Open the Stripe receipt from your purchase and revisit the claim link — it recovers the same key. Still stuck? Email Mark@Reinventing.AI with your receipt and we'll look it up.
